Multicultural arts programs for all ages to different traditional artistic forms from within the diversity of Hong Kong.

From dance, to magic, music, fabric arts, storytelling, tarot, and more!

Hong Kong’s only centre offering Creative Ability Development!

We also have a research section that works on various folklore and music projects. We seek to collaborate with local groups on oral history and Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) projects for the public.

In August 2022, we are launching the Hong Kong Quarantine Foodways Research Project.

Fiddlehead Folklore Multicultural Workshops

Fiddlehead Folklore Institute’s Multicultural Workshops celebrate the diversity of cultures in Hong Kong.

We will offer programming for both kids and adults including traditional dance, art, music, fabric arts, storytelling, fairy tales, drama. tarot, and more!

Musical Village Method

Musical Village Method – a holistic, family and community minded music education approach which marries the best of classical music education with folk music and the human experience of cultural arts.

Musical Village Method draws on a unique combination of the Suzuki Method, Off-Schulwerk, Folk Music, Creative Ability Development (improvisation), and early childhood music.

Fiddlehead Folklore Institute is a new concept in Hong Kong focusing on bringing Hong Kongers and their families together through the arts.

Location

Our main studio is situated in the heart of the historic dried seafood district in Sai Ying Pun on Hong Kong Island. Fiddlehead Folklore Institute is conveniently close to the historic tram route, Sai Ying Pun MTR A2 or B3, and multiple bus routes. Corner of des Voeux Road West and Kwai Heung Street between Eastern and Centre Streets. Close to Artlane.

We also offer some programs in Mui Wo on Lantau Island.
